Saturday - 6/12/08

I was given a name tag when i 1st reached. Then, i found out that there's a shape behind the tag. Mine circle, yen chee rectangle. We were in a different group. After checked in, listened to teachers advice, we went into our room to put down our bag. Yen Chee and I moved towards the back and chose a place for our night sleep. After that, we played some games. Everyone stand in a big circle. Then, teacher will start to ‘发炮’. He called his name twice and shout out the name of the people that he wanted to shoot. Two people who stand beside the opponent should say ' heh-seow-heh-seow' in order to continue the game. If not, 3 of them will be forfeit. Luckily, i didn't kena. Another game was followed by next. That's what we call ‘大风吹’. At 1st, I think it's quite childish. but just then i know that teacher wanted to let us go into our group according to the 'shape'. Our group teacher was 嘉芬老师. Pretty and nice. Hehe!! Our ‘猪长’was Jeremy. We had 8 members - Jeremy, 景悍, 奕轩, 林宇能, 敏怡, Yen Woon, Jing Yi and me. We discussed for our group name and slogan. After the discussion, we decided to name our group as 欢喜之家. Around 3pm, we listened to some pop songs. Then, it was time for a quiz. Teacher gave every group a list of songs and lyrics. We wrote down the 作词人. We had a good guess and won the competition. Haha!! =)

Sunday - 7/12/08

Morning. We did some exercise. Dancing. After few hours of lesson (quite boring), It was relax time again. Everyone lay down on the floor and closed our eyes. It was really nice and we felt so relaxing. Feel like wanna sleep. Before lunch, i left there for my taekwando test. Actually, i need to break about 1.5 cm thick plank. But before i started to kick, teacher ask me how old am i. 15. That means i need to go for black belt. Huh!!! I was in a great shock that time coz i didnt have any preparation. Teacher didnt tell me earlier. They changed another plank for me. My mouth was wide open. The plank was about 3 cm thick. double the thickness. 4 planks, I only managed to break 1 with my turning kick. Haihzz.... No hope ad! I returned to the camp after dinner. With my bags full of tip bits ( from yen chee's shop ). 8pm, a 师父 came and taught us how to meditate. We sat there and meditated for 2 hours.

Monday - 8/12/08

Every morning, we were supposed to chant before doing other thing. After that, we performed our group's slogan. We sang 小猪小猪肥嘟嘟 and acted as a pig. At last, all of us shouted 欢喜就好 (in hokkien - suit our group name). We also played a game - 天使与恶魔. Teacher chose 5 天使 and 5 恶魔 which we need to kill all the 恶魔. But the last 恶魔 was not killed. We were not able to guess the last one. 原来...... 恶魔在身边. Jing Yi. She sat beside me and i didnt even notice. Haha =) Before dinner, we watched a movie. It was an indian movie, the origin of 跑吧孩子. During the 交流会, teacher played out some picture that was taken by the camera man. (All the while, he was there holding the camera and snapped our photo). Meanwhile, some students stand up and said out their feelings through out this camp. Jeremy was the 1st to stand up. Yen Chee did too. =) Some were too 感动 until their tears rolled down. The environment was full with sadness.

That night, everyone went to bed late. Our 'gang' gathered around in the bedroom, while the other 'gang' were in another room. Haha!! When they returned, we switched off the light (coz they wanna sleep ad). So, we chatted in dark.

We slept at 3 am. 3 hours left before morning call.

Tuesday - 9/12/08

The last day of camp. We were sooooo tired. Everyone looked sleepy. Min yi slept on the table when teacher was teaching. Hehe ^^ During 康乐, we dance again. The song is 我没有翅膀. Teacher seng tak and chee hoong demonstrated the movement. (Grace had caught the scene but i dun know how to post it here). After lunch, we packed up everything. Every group did some cleaning. We washed the toilet. 1 toilet only. Around 2pm, everything was set. We took a group photo before we left.

I really enjoyed this camp very much. ( starting from the third day ) Hehe ^^ Hope that there will be another camp next year.
